VIDEO: hybrid aircraft carriers in Iraq? (NSFW)

As part of a pledge to green the war in Iraq, President Bush will increase the number of hybrid engine aircraft carriers, according to the Onion News Network (see video below the fold). The fake news report also includes other ideas that the military could do to make the war green: carpooling troop transports, for example, or using lightweight balsa wood black hawk helicopters to save on fuel. While not in the report, the description of the video mentions biodegradable tanks. Be warned, the The Onion's jokes about greening torture might not go over well in the work place.

US aircraft carriers only have to be refueled once every TWENTY FIVE years. Try calculating MPGs for a US aircraft carrier.

What a joke to say that the Wars the US are in can be handled in a green way. It is amazing what people see on TV and believe like the robots we have become. History of Civilizations have proven that Humans can see ahead when trouble is lurking but the powers that be don't do enough until it's too late. Humans must make a huge jump to at the least a sustainable life on this planet and every second that goes by is wasting time. Science has already proven that Ethanol based vehicles have twice the Carbon Footprint as a gasoline powered vehicle. War is certainly not the place to "be green" and far from generating a "sustainable life" on Earth. Here is just one example of how we could achieve a sustainable life in hopes that the future holds giving back to mother Earth:

Good luck to the War industry as well as all other industries. Make a change now however you have to.
