Kawasaki wants your Ninja 250 stories
The Kawasaki Ninja 250 has helped many riders ease their way into the world of motorcycling throughout its 20 years of being on the market, saving them tons of gas money in the process. Recently made-over for the 2008 model year, Kawasaki is celebrating their economical and fun little run-about by asking for riders who have had favorable experiences on the bike to send them videos. The best part is that if your video is chosen as the winner of the competition, you win a brand new 2008 Ninja 250. The next five videos that were oh-so-close to being best will earn their budding videographer a replica Team Kawasaki racing jacket from Joe Rocket.

This is the type of bike new riders have to ride in many parts of the world for their first year.
USA and Canadian regulators could do far worse by following their lead

I had a 1983 GPZ 305 in 1985. I loved that bike! I got 80 mpg, could go 115mph and it had a red line at 13,000 rpm. Granted, my friends with bigger bikes could go much faster on the straights but, when it came to the twisty roads I would smoke 'em. At 42 I would love to ride the new Ninja 250. It is actually 1st on my list for a new motorcycle. And hey, it is a hell of a lot better than a scooter!

I used to ride a Ducati 900SS and at present I own a Vento Phantera GT-5 scooter (which is fun but in a completely different way). I've been considering a new Ninja 250 for the sole reason that it's a nice balance between those two worlds and not a bike that I can pull the trigger on and find myself north of 150 mph in a few blinks. Now that they have updated the styling I really think it may be my next bike. I do wish they made a 400cc version though (same styling) but they don't. Of course, the price wouldn't be so nice either.

The Ninja 250 was my first bike and I love it! I have a 2007 model but was very disappointed after buying it and they changed the body styling so much! Now I want a 2008. It puts the 2007 body to shame! They are impossible to come by though! I cant wait for the 2009 models to come out! Ill be the first one in the store that day waiting to trade!
