Piemonte H-Due concept: possible Segway competitor?

Click on the image for high-res shots

For all of the jokes that the Segway has had to endure since it was unveiled, there sure are lots of competitors sprouting up all the time. The latest that we've heard about is known as the Piemonte H-Due. As far as we know, this is just a concept, and details remain rather scarce. We can see clearly though that the H-Due eschews the balancing act that is the Segway's real claim to fame in favor of allowing a passenger. From the looks of things, riders on this thing ought to be real close friends. We have no idea what a hydrogen-burning battery is (perhaps they are just referring to a fuel cell?), but the two large wheels are connected to 450 watt hub-motors. Regardless of what it's powered by, we can't imagine that this will ever be a real contender for Segway, but it's still interesting to look at.
