Firebreathing electric wheelchair - the answer to a question nobody asked
Just when you think you've seen it all... Here is an electric vehicle which was built using golf cart parts. The contraption is said to be capable of twenty-two miles per hour. Doesn't sound all that impressive, huh? Read on. According to its maker, the seat comes from a Marine rescue helicopter, which is kinda cool, and it's capable of operation on just about any terrain. We're not really sure what it means when the machine is described as having "several forms of steering," but we're willing to go with it. So, what is it that makes this particular machine different than any other electric runabout? Oh, not much, but how about that flame thrower?
According to Lance Greathouse, "It was made for the disabled person looking for something a little different, why drive something that looks like a medical device when you can drive something lethal?" Why indeed? In case you're not into fire, may we suggest the Segway as an alternative?

1. It spews fire, big whoop. Not really "green" either, you're wasting all kinds of gas or fuel showing off. Might as well be Al Friggin Gore, jaunting around in your private jet all over the world.
2. If you were really handicapped, you'd have one hell of a time trying to climb into it.
3. It's too big to be practical for anything other than outside and wide open terrain.
4. Bet the battery doesn't last more than an hour or so at full throttle. Just the weight of an over engineered monster like that is enough to kill even a multi celled battery in a short time.
5. Wonder what the local law enforcement agency would have to say about handicapped senior citizens toting flame throwers? Don't think they'd be too happy about a Geritol chugging, road raged retiree zipping around town and scorching everything in his path with a hell bent, flame throwing "wheel chair". Do you?

Green Smeen The Machine is awesome ! Anyone really interested in Green automobilia would be doing us all a favor by living locally , trying to reduce world population, (this macine may be good for that...) growing more things (for food and to trap carbon and keeping their old car in pristine working order (do you know the carbon foot print of recycling old cars AND building your new super efficient new hybrid.....) Also practicing efficient driving habits. Just my two cents... OLD CARS RULE !
