While Elon takes credit, Tesla Roadster heads to Le Mans

While Tesla Chairman Elon Musk is taking credit for other people's work, the sales team is off continuing its European tour with a visit to Le Mans. While the diesel Audis and Peugeots were out tearing up the track and shattering track records, Tesla's Aaron Platshon was spotted tooling around the driver's parade in the silent, battery-powered Roadster. Hopefully, there is as much effort going into completing cars for delivery to customers as there is in lining up new deposits for more cars. Thanks to Jonny for the tip!

Without Elon's money, where would the Roadster be? I'm sorry what happened to Martin, but let's face it. How many of us would put up that much cash??? How many of us could put up that much cash???

Agreed!
Not only has he invested a substantial amount of his own money, he, himself, never stated he was founder or the idea man. The media has been largely responsible for that.
Leave the sarcastic and crass comments to the court room were the real battle is being held.

True not many of use could fork up that much as an investment, but allot of people who do do that are allot classier than Elon. He's a jackass, a concieded self-absorbed jackass. And I have always thought so, even before he kicked Martain out, before Martians car wasnt made 2nd, and before he started to try and alter history.

Saying Musk is the creator or the Roadster is like saying financier George Westinghouse is the creator of alternating current and not Nikkola Tesla. The biggest difference in the anology is that Westinghouse was a respected inventor in his own right, and the company went on to profoundly change the world and way we live.

Dave B.,
I'm sorry, but that's a lousy argument that you made. First of all, just because Elon has (had?) a lot of money, doesn't mean that he can take credit for other people's work. You have to understand that he was lucky to be allowed to fund TM in the first place. Martin was in advanced discussions with another VC to provide the early funding for Tesla Motors. At the last minute, Elon stepped in and managed to convince Martin to let him provide the funding. I'm guessing that Martin probably regrets that choice now.
Elon's attempts to rewrite history expose him for what he really is: a pathetic, attention-seeking, wanna-be...
