Mercedes interested in producing low-CO2 blackcabs

EcoCity Vehicles has announced that it has signed an exclusive contract with Mercedes Benz to launch a new Mercedes "London cab" through its KPM-UK Taxis subsidiary. The cab offers low-CO2 emissions, can seat 6, is ready to accept wheelchairs and - thanks to its rear wheel transmission - can comply with London's famous statutory 25-foot turning circle. The cab is based on the Mercedes Vito Traveliner (pictured above). The new vehicle is aimed at London's approximately 25,000 licensed taxi drivers and will be introduced June 26th.

super smooth, indestructible.
when i got my driver license 15 years back, i opted for a taxi driver job, i drove the w124 200D like a mad man, while with clients, you could shift gears so smooth, a client wouldn't even notice it. way smoother than any auto gear box.
thanx to their gearing, thanx to their shiftknob (incredible piece of technology, if you look under the leather of the knob), thanx to the hydraulic clutch.
many people see Mercedes Benz just as any car, but overpriced, but it realy isn't.
it's a Mercedes Benz and the one and only real professional car maker in the world.
each and every benz has the same feelling, it's like they put the same gearbox on every car.
it's amazing.
there is simple no argument possible.
