Spy Shots: 2010 Chevy Cruze spotted in the wild

A couple of weeks ago, GM released the first official photos of the new Chevy Cruze compact and we've been seeing camouflaged examples for months. Now, one of our readers has spotted an almost completely uncovered Cruze in a parking lot in Rochester, NY. The Cruze will make its auto show debut next month in Paris and we expect to see it Monday in Detroit. The only disguise on this example is some duct tape over the bow-tie on the grille. The Cruze will be available globally starting Europe (why do they always get the good stuff first?) next spring. This will be the first car coming off the next-generation version of GM's Delta compact platform that will be shared with the next Astra, the Orlando MPV and, of course, the Volt. Thanks to Kyle for the tip!

Sure that's not a 2003 Mazda 3?

What? it looks nothing like a 3! And why did you add the '2003' Part? It's looked the same for almost 6 years- save a few tweaks here and there.
On another note, the interior already looks loads better than the cobalt.

but hey the mazda 3 is still one of the most attractive compact cars. Its price features and interior are prolly the best IMO.
Lets see how GM does with the details of this car. They tend to screw that up.
I do think the colbalts interior is leaps and bounds over the last gen caviler lets just hope they continue the trend

It looks exaclty like the '03 Mazda 3 I had in white.

So this is just the Volt with some minor styling changes and a different powertrain?

I think you have that backwards. This is actually going on sale in 6 months.

and it looks nothing like a volt except for the corporate GM grill. Pretty idiotic post.

What about the metal grey car in the back? Looks to me to be also a Chevrolet Cruze...

Man I can't stand that grill! I hate that they cut off the tip of the hood, make a massive bar through the grill and put a massive logo on it and then have a massively empty grill below it with another massive empty air intake section below the bumper. Why mess up an entire line of models with such a crappy grill? The Malibu would be so much hotter, as would the cruze, if the grill didn't look lame.
