CO2 E - Race coming to Denmark next fall

Automobile races that try to put on a green mantle are seriously nothing new. There's Formula 1, Formula Zero, and ALMS to name just a few. Coming soon (well, in a year) to a country near you (if you live in Denmark) is a new eco-aware speed event called the CO2 E - Race. At least, that's what we think this this is about. The current website is woefully short on things like details.
What the site does say is that the idea behind the CO2 E - Race is that all of the vehicles involved must be carbon neutral. The reason for the race (and a car show) is the United Nations Global Climate Change Conference which takes place in Copenhagen next September. I expect we'll know more well before then. After all, getting the word out is part and parcel for these things, no? Thanks to Jacob for the tip!

Dear Sebastian Blanco,
I am glad you mentioned our CO2 E -Race on your blog and I am sorry you did not find more information about the race on our site. There is however a link to download a .pdf file with all the information about the concept of the race. One of the main aspects of this race is that the cars are driving a path in the shape of a huge CO (driving to shape of the O twice) in the city of Copenhagen. This is to both show that the new CO2 neutral cars--soon to be on the market--actually can drive a longer distance along with creating an intention of dealing and addressing one of the world's biggest challenges by creating interactive awareness on the CO2 issue. This by using the CO2 neutral cars as tools in a city that will be the host of the 2009 UN Global Climate Change Conference. The vision is to make our little country of Denmark--with only 5 million people--the first CO2 neutral car driving country in the world. Denmark's example could then be used to be applied to other countries in the world.
These days, looking at the developments in America and the new changes that will happen soon, everything is possible!
And when I am at it, I would like to congratulate America on this!
If you have any further question on the project, your are more than welcome to contact me.
All the best from Copenhagen,
Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen
