WillieRun can't beat Cannonball Run time, but uses half as much fuel

We just got word that Nik and Brian have survived their biodiesel-fueled Willie Run across the country without too much fighting and arrived in Santa Monica at 9:40 a.m. This puts their official cross-country 2,903.3-mile trip time at 38 hours, 37 minutes, 41.1 seconds (a 75 mph average). So, they didn't beat the better-known Cannonball Run time, but the Willie run team used less than half the gallons of fuel in their Jetta TDI. We've been promised a longer and official release later in the afternoon, so stay tuned.
