Fiat Brazil shows off all-electric Bugster

Fiat's subsidiary in Brazil is going to introduce a new concept car, called the Bugster, for the 25th Salão Internacional do Automóvel, Brazil's Motor Show. It reminds one of those early '70s buggies that were made up from VW chassis but the Bugster adds a lot of green features. The powertrain is all-electric and the body is made of natural fibers, renewable materials that minimize the car's environmental impact. Nanotechnology makes the materials light and resistant. All this lets the quirky Bugster embrace the company's motto of Environment & Fun, which aims to mix ecologically conscious products with those that are also fun to drive. And hey, we've got some green car news out of Brazil that isn't about ethanol.
