Difference Makers! Patriots! The HUMMER Club goes on Colbert

Joining our compatriot over at Jalopnik, Ray Wert, on Thursday night's episode of The Colbert Report were individuals out to have a good time in their live axle-driven 'utes from the HUMMER Club. According to the members of the elite group, their SUVs represent everything that is right with America and deride the fact that "the Prius owners kinda stick their noses up at us, thinking we're damaging the environment," according to one member. These days, many people living in the U.S. are concerned about the future of their country. Fear not. "If we could save the HUMMER, we could save America," adds a HUMMER loving and very patriotic club-goer.

We're not going to jump on the idea that the HUMMER brand is worse than any other large, V8-powered off-road vehicle... it really isn't. The problem with HUMMERs is that nobody wants to go out and buy huge gas-guzzlers that they don't really need. Similar massive sales declines are happening across the board, and those vehicles are suffering the consequences as well. Oh yeah, and magic-wand technology is still decades away. Watch the video after the break.
