Gorgeous Tesla Hot Wheels, batteries not included

Click on the new more affordable Tesla Roadsters for a high res gallery
Can't come up with enough cash to afford your own Tesla Roadster? No worries, we've got just the thing, and they promise to emit absolutely zero emissions during use: Tesla Hot Wheels cars. We managed to get our hands on two of the diminutive little buggers, and we've assembled a gallery below for your perusal. The models you see here, which are painted in Metallic Aqua with a black interior and Metallic Watermelon with a saddle brown interior, represent two of the three available colors when the Hot Wheels car was initially launched; the third is painted Metalflake Silver with a black interior. We hear that a fourth model was released for the Valentine's Day collection that's painted a darker shade of gray. The models look fairly accurate, as they should since Mattel reportedly had access to electronic files of the Roadster from Tesla. Thanks for the tip, Shaun!

Why so many shots of the rear of the red roadster with the shonky paint job on the brake lights? The paint job on the blue's rear appears to be aligned and it looks so much better.

I got a Tesla for Christmas, just like I asked for... well not quite like I asked for... but still awesome! I didn't know they made them so I was quite pleasantly surprised.

Quick, buy one before they unexpectedly jack up the price.

I had one of these in December, and they were out for a couple months even then I believe. You can buy them any stores that have Hot Wheels (it's in their regular line)...

You guys are way behind. The blue one has been on the pegs since May, and it's the most popular color. Many of the collectors I know don't like the red, and I agree. Metallic Watermelon looks like one of GM's leftover colors from the '90's. Remember Seaspray Green, anyone?

Hey guys! I'm in South Africa.. and I just got hold of one of these little Tesla's at my local supermarket! Along with a Audi black metallic Audi R8, 2008 Mitsubishi Evo, 2007 Shelby GT-500 and Chevy Camaro Concept... seems like we Africans on this side of the pond also getting these cars pretty quickly compared to US releases.
Anyone interested, they in packaging and gonna remain that way. Can send pics from any angle in case anyone has a Hot Wheels packaging fetish. LOL...
Must admit, the metallic blue Hot Wheels Testla looks great in real life, the photos dont do its paint job justice.
