2008 Hybrid sales follow every other segment, down 9.9% in 2008

As gas prices rose steadily through the first eight months of 2008, hybrid-powered vehicles disappeared from dealer lots pretty much as fast most manufacturers could build and deliver them. However, once Labor Day hit, Toyota, Nissan and Ford hybrids were no more immune than any other vehicle type to the market realities. Priuses, Escapes, Civics and others all sat stagnant as loans became increasingly difficult to get and people feared for their jobs.
By year's end, the only car makers to see an overall increase in hybrid sales were General Motors and Nissan. GM added general availability of the Tahoe and Yukon two-modes as well as the new Vue and Malibu mild hybrids. That resulted in a 179 percent increase, while Nissan Altima hybrids climbed 5.1 percent. Ford's Escape/Mariner hybrids dropped 22 percent, Honda's Civic dropped 12.5 percent and Toyota's array of hybrids dropped a similar amount. Chrysler sold a total of 81 Durango and Aspen hybrids.

All that madness and morosity is because old car manufacturers like porsche, gm, nissan, mercedes, bmw, chrysler, ford, tata, audi, volkwagen seat, volvo, caterpillar, freifgtliner, tesla, fisker karma, enerdel, brigg and startton, toyota have merge in the 1990's and are controled 100 % by hyper complicated world banking covering 100% car industry. Nobody in gm or toyota or others car compagny is allowed to think and decide and putting a new piece of anything before been revised and analysed by other member of this silly cartel. They are jammed and paralysed by theirs tousands and tousands of complicated contracts and not a simgle car compagny is privately own and operated. It's a communist activity. In not so distant future we will be making our own car at home with scrapyard pieces and woods because all this big cartel will sink down the gutter and i won't cry them a minutes. There is not a single car guy enjoying his job in this big cartel. They only speak no non-sence talking about a green car that never show his face and always something better is on the way and consumers are fed-up of waiting. They want a green car but they want that big oil and goverment cooperate, lol. Big oil collect money by anti-green technology and goverment collect money just to heal problems. Someone working in a car compagny should adopt a business plan satisfiying himself and the consumer and forget bill-oil and barack with his first law that is abortion and the human chemical genome.
