Hy Tric Motors offers new electric cars, and some we've seen before

Click above for a high-res gallery of the Hy Tric 4 Seater
We got a tip recently about Hy Tric Motors, a company based in Ventura, California that offers electric vehicles and electric retro fit kits. The company seems to focus mostly on low-speed electric vehicles, but the Hy Tric Electro Cycle seen above (UPDATE: actually the XR3, see update after the jump) has a top speed of 125 mph It costs $23,999, but there are virtually no other details available. In fact, the entire website is not set up to provide a whole lot of information about the cars. We can see pictures of the 2009 AFS Hy Tric 4 Seater (the green vehicle in the gallery below) that starts at $10,900 and the 2009 AFS Hy Tric EVCapus, a work truck for $13,900, but not much more about them.
The only car that Hy Tric offers any real details on is the 2009 AFS Hy Tric Electro XRb-series, an EV that costs $9,999 and can go 60-90 miles on a full charge of its lead acid batteries (eight 12V/120AH packs). A 4 kW motor offers a top speed of 37 mph (can be limited to 25 mph to fall into the NEV category). Hy Tric also offers a series of conversion kits ranging from $2,500 (48 volt kit) to $5,000 (144 volts) to add onto your own vehicle.
The site also lists a "2009 AFS Hy Tric LG1 Euro racer Model" that looks an awful lot like (ok, exactly like) the Triac electric car. Not sure what's going on there.

UPDATE: We seem to have been given misleading information by someone pretending to be from Hy Tric motors. After this post ran, we got the following email:
"There are a number of copyright, patent, and other intellectual property infringements and misrepresentations in your recent feature on the so-called "Hy Tric Electro Cycle." This company is infringing on XR3 copyrights, provisional patent rights, and a design patent that has recently been approved for issue to Robert Q. Riley. Robert Q. Riley has no association with the company or person responsible for your feature, and the party has no right to represent themselves as having an association with, or as a source of, the XR3 or XR3 vehicles, or to reproduce images of the vehicle. Additionally, they do not have a model release for the female model, Galiya Hafizova-Riley, who is posing with the XR3. All photos, copyrights, and other intellectual property belong to me, Robert Q. Riley, and I have the proper models release on file. Please remove the article and print a retraction.
To date, I have over $500,000 in development expenses in the XR3 design, and there is an ongoing vehicle and business development effort now underway, including grant applications, intellectual property expendatures, and investor funding which could be jeopardized by the publication of misleading and fraudulent representations contained within your feature.
Thanks,
Robert Q. Riley
PS: The XR3 was correctly referenced your feature - http://green.autoblog.com/2007/03/20/robert-q-riley-enterprises-is-set-to-introduce-their-new-xr3-hy/"
Therefore, the trike pictures were removed. I should have thought something was fishy when I noticed the Triac there, I just didn't recognize the XR3. Thanks to all our readers who pointed this out and our apologies to Mr. Riley.

The Hy Tric Electro Cycle is actually the XR3 from RQ Riley that you can buy plans for and build yourself.

Hey, I thought you might want to know that the Hy Tric Electro Cycle is either based upon the Robert Q. Riley XR3 or actually is the XR3 (http://www.rqriley.com/xr3.htm)

Seriously, Autoblog has posted about the XR3 before and even recently since the final set of photos were released. Connect the dots.

They seem to be slightly-modified RQ Riley kit cars ... the XR3 even appears on his site http://rqriley.com/xr3.htm

Guys,
Why are you using my photo with the XR3-Hybrid (Robert Q. Riley Enterprises, LLC) - claimed as the Hy Trike Motors? Why you use our photo with our car around our home? Who gave you promission to do this?
Galiya Hafizova-Riley.

dont buy anything from Hy Tric Motors. It is ran by a Lenny Gianfrancisco and he is a lier and a cheat. He will rip you off and then disapear. he has done this to many people and he is faceing legal trouble.
They used to be called H2oHybrid and I purchased a HHO generator and is was complete trash and did not produce HHo even close to what was claimed and it leaked and was the worst piece of trash. A 5 year old could have dont better. Then Lenny will disapear and they will not ansere the phone, Just take your money and run.
dont take my word for it check with the better buisness in Beverly Hills and you will see that he has ripped off many peolpe and is faceing legal problems due to his sleazy buiness operations. I hope the word gets out for he should not be in buisness.

Lenny Gianfrancisco you are a complete fraud, and almost everything you say is a complete lie. I have a list of peoples names that you have swindled. If you keep coming back at me with your lies I will put every name and phone nummber of the list of people I have. Then people can call any one of the nummbers and get the story first hand. You know and I know that you will ansere the phone once to get there money then you will ansere the phone to here a complaint, then you never ansere to that nummber again and you do not return calls or emails. You simply take money and disapear. You use people, to get what you need at the time. then you disapear generally with there money then you hide. Im not in your data base because you have no data base for the people you have swindled.
The science of electrolisis to make HHO is over a hundred years old, You and I know that you dont know much about anything about the HHO business nor do you know anything about electric cars, You and I ( and a whole lot of people) know that you are in it for the money and me and my list of people are takeing action to shut you down.
You have taken a lot of good peoples money. Because you have no intension of makeing good or paying your bills we the people have no recourse.
Most of use have noticed that your products have been taken off the Water4Gas site as well, and its all because you are a dishonest busness man and you produced trash. You lied about haveing a factory and so much more. The Water4Gas know your story all to well, Anyone can email them or call and get the same story as im telling now.
Heres a name and nummber of someone that you will remember. I encourage anyone to give this man a call and he will tell you he got a trash product from Lenny Gianfrancisco and tried to make good on it and just like so many (hundreds) others you screen the calls and just ignore messages and emails. You are scum, Lenny.

Now to clearup the images used for promotion hytric Xrb.This was to show the kit car and that we would build it out follow this link ..We signed up for this program and spoke to R.Q.Riely for over an hour about our plans of promotion...guess he forgot ...I have reciept of the eplans and permissions.PAID THE FEE..http://www.rqriley.com/partners.htm We reviewed the plans only to find that this unit is not rated for safety..in any way .So we designed our own unit that would..No foul here and it has doors instead of popping the roof to get in ..and it rains and snows sometimes..wind too..We call it as we see it every thing looks cool and then you might want to use it??

Aftere reading lenny Gianfrancisco last comment about the XR-3 makes me laugh.
He would not know how to evaluate the plans with out useing someone else. USING is the key word here. Im sure that he used Q-Rileys pics and he just got busted for using Q-Rileys copy righted XR-3 pictures.
Whats even funyer is that he says that he changed the design that would be rated for safety. Lenny once again your a fraud. Q-Riley has designed more cars than you have owned in your life time. once again you show your ignorance about a busness that you know nothing about. Anyone that talkes to you that knows the science knows that you are a fraud.
I see that even Water4Gas HHO site has taked down your products as well and its because they have had many complaints about your busness practices and the trash products that you sold.. So any one can email or call Water4gas and get the low down on Lenny Gianfrancisco or H2OHybrid.
Just a remember dont purchase anything from HyTric Motors untill you check out Mr. Lenny Gianfrancisco with many sources. Do not beleive anything this man says. I dont want anyone to take my word for it. Just do the home work on this rip off and you will see. Lenny Gianfrancisco has taken a few thousand dollars from me and I am haveing to take legal action to get justice.
