The stuff of nightmares: Biomass-fueled autonomous robot
Cyclone Power Technologies, which we've previously featured for its engine that runs on waste heat, has recently been awarded a contract to build the first stages of an Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot (seriously, eater?) for a project that's sponsored by DARPA. Basically, as we understand it, what we have here is a robot that can gather its own biomass fuel, deposit it into its own external combustion chamber and recharge itself. Seriously, is this a good thing?
The robot's power source could come from such diverse sources as waste products like wood chips or grass clippings, vegetable oil or even gasoline, diesel, kerosene and alcohol. All of this will take place outside the actual robot, as the radial 6-cylinder 16-horsepower Cyclone Waste Heat Engine will recharge the robot's battery pack through the use of a generator. If successful, such a device could have wide ranging civil and military applications. We shudder to consider all of them.

I told you, the painful robot era of long long time ago is still alive in the memory of humankind.
Some robots were studying human feelings with green rays beams that have the sames frequencies as the humans nerves. The robot brain were these same little green rays beam
inside their heads. Theses experiments have provoked many deseases of all sorts especially sentimental and sexuals and have provoked the ends of this planets where we were living long time ago.
That's why we are in an energy and identity crisis, it's just the madness that is still showing up about energy source, electricity, fossil fuels, switching cars technology that mean unconstiously switching to a immortal sustainable kind of corpse, carbon footprint, global warming, co2, hydrogen, water, hydrocarbons, scientifics researchs, biomass, renewable energy, energy depletion, oil imports, etc. This nightmare is there till the beginning of this planet and is not finnish yet. Nobody can live freely for more then a minutes or two because if someone have fun without guilt, then he his consulted by all the humans near him or her. Ask artists about paparazzis.
If that nightmare never existed then all kind of cars will exists with unlimited power, range and no pollution at low cost. Just d.dingel, stan meyer and a few others have not over-emphazise this nightmare of limited energy . There is enouph energy to power everything without cost and pollution with water for the duration of this planet.

Gorr,
That was your best post ever. If anyone ever needed to understand what makes you tick, all they need to do is read that post.

Gorr,
Your meds have run out. Please consult your doctor.

Oh, yes, absolutely prime kookscreed! Gorr does have an obsession with robots and zombies, must have watched waaay too many late nite horror movies.
Of course, each time Gorr tries to promote H2 this way, it can only help the anti-hydrogen movement. Who could believe the hydrogen hype when it is associated with that kind of crazyness?

At least i found a film with an actual working water car. It's the same power source as the old ufo and robots.
Chris M 5:56PM (1/31/2009)
No, Gorr, what you found was a film made by a scammer designed to promote his scam, a scam idea he stole from convicted fraud Stan Meyers.
groo 7:35PM (2/01/2009)
This film is real with a real invention and stan meyer is a real inventor with a real invention. You are a scammer working for conventional petrol and taxmoney business.

I for one welcome the lawn clipping eating robotic overlord, but wait....how long until the robot realizes the superior nutritional value of stray cats (or other meatbags) as opposed to lawn clippings?

It would definitely be cheaper than a divorce.

Can I get one to clean up the leaves in the yard?
When will I be able to rake said leaves into my car to drive to the store?

As Doc Brown said: Where we're going, we don't need roads...
theguyfromplt 11:45PM (7/17/2009)
They better come up with something bigger than that thing - I 'll squash it with my truck like a possum! Or mine the whole yard with tungsten-tipped slugs. Ha! Piece of junk!!
