Nissan to start electric car pilot program in China
Nissan and its corporate partner Renault seem to have embarked on what could best be described as a march towards electric vehicle world domination. Over the last few weeks alone, we've heard about Nissan's plans to bring EVs to the United Kingdom, United States, Monaco, Ireland and Switzerland. We also expect the dual-headed company to launch its electric machinery in its home markets of France and Japan.
That's quite a busy schedule already, but there's still at least one more stop on Nissan's EV train: China. According to the Wall Street Journal, Nissan is currently in talks with the Chinese government to roll out an electric vehicle pilot program in a large city in central China called Wuhan. Nissan's first electric vehicles are expected to hit the market in 2010.

This is a great news. Considering the high polluted air in China, the EV plan in China would lead a good start for better air quality in China.
