By now, assuming you are a fan of the Toyota Prius, you've probably read just about everything you can get your hands on regarding the latest third-gen hybrid hatchback for 2010 – including, we hope, our own comprehensive rundown of the vehicle's available features and our First Drive report. If not, better get clickin'!
Still not overloaded with 2010 Prius goodness? No problem, Toyota has a seemingly unending supply of footage of the new car on their own YouTube page, and we've gone ahead and pasted the team's latest video after the break. In it, you'll see some initial reactions to a few of the new car's coolest features, including the rooftop solar panels that help keep the cabin cool, the steering wheel-controlled Touch Tracer Display and the car's self-parking technology. From the looks of things, new car buyers are going to be mighty impressed by what Toyota has to offer with the 2010 Prius.

Hi,
I want to hear more from tall folks who have driven this generation of Prius: do you fit comfortably? Does the center console/buttress get in the way?
I'm 6'-4" and the person in the video who is 6'-2" is sitting in the passenger's seat.
BTW, the only link in the post to the video that works is the Source....

I haven't sat in one, but I would think that the driver is probably given at least as much space as the front passenger.
But of course everyone is shaped differently. I'm also 6'2", and have sat comfortably in a '98 Civic Coupe (not generally thought of as a large car) for the last 11 years and never felt in the least cramped... and I also have a pretty long torso for my height. I suspect you'll have to try a Prius on for yourself to see how you fit. Why take anyone else's word for it (even someone of the same height)?

My husband is 6' 2" and we currently have an 'old' 2009 model, and he fits comfortably in it w/ plenty of leg room. If the 2010 model has more interior room, you shouldn't have a problem.

My local dealership received one of the prototype that's on tour right now.
The car looks much better in person then it is in the photos. Standing next to it, the 3rd gen Prius seems A LOT bigger compare to the 2nd gen Prius, although I know the dimensions are not that far apart. It is definitely much bigger than the Honda Insight.
I sat in it, and it's quite roomy in the front and the back. The salesperson stressed that 3rd gen seats have six ways adjustable seats, and the premium versions have additional lumbar support. So I'd think it's more accommodating to those who couldn't fit into the 2nd gen before.
