Electric Entertainment: Sarah Spiegel records Chevy Volt Jingle
Singer, songwriter and actress Sarah Spiegel, who apparently worked as a national spokesperson for General Motors last summer, has taken the time amidst all the doom and gloom surrounding America's largest automaker to write and record what could best be described as either a very short song or oddly long jingle for Chevy's upcoming Volt extended-range electric vehicle.The song's lyrics, which can be seen after the break, mostly concentrate on saving fuel and make mention of the E-Flex powertrain, which is now known as the Voltec powertrain. Somehow, we doubt that we'll be hearing this particular jingle on the air any time soon, but you're free to have a listen for yourself at this link (scroll to the bottom).

How can the volt be "here to stay" when you can't even buy it yet and the company that is planning to produce it might not even be around by the time it's due to be produced? I guess "like a rock" probably isn't that great a slogan anymore though, since their stock price and company future are both at rock-bottom.

Dear lord I hope this doesn't end up as the official jingle. jpm and brn are dead on.
I'd have to disagree with posterboy though. If anything, the "Like a Rock" slogan fits perfectly with the rock-bottom situation. Can't be more like a rock than a rock. Heh, if I was Sarah Spiegel I guess I'd use that as a rhyme.
