Russian taxi company adds Carver to fleet

We don't often hear about the Carver One here in the United States, probably because it's not actually available for sale in this country. Apparently, that's not the case in much of the European Union and Russia, where a taxi company called 1Motto has reportedly purchased a Carver One to shuttle occupants to their destinations as quickly as possible, even through rush hour traffic.
Motorcycle taxi services are becoming increasingly popular in many densely populated urban areas, especially in Europe, since vehicles with a single track (two wheels in line with one another) can more easily fit through gaps in traffic. Some passengers, though, seem to have a distaste for two-wheelers, feeling that they aren't quite as safe as they'd like, and this is where vehicles like the Piaggio MP3 and the aforementioned Carver come into play. Due to its full roof, the Carver can be used all season long and in any kind of weather.

That's the coolest looking Carver I've seen, but it must be hard to use as a taxi. The driver has to get out every time to let the passenger in, right? Strange, but cool.

I'd like the Carver for my personal transportation, but it's a little small to be a taxi.

In some countries, mopeds and modified bi/tricycles are used to carry passengers and a *lot* of stuff, including livestock. For them, it's just an evolution.
I'd love to drive one of these.

I like the carver. Although I have a feeling its a bit out of reach for most regarding price.
2 questions:
What is the MSRP and is it available in the states?

Hah. Someone should check in on the Venture Vehicles folks, or whatever they're calling themselves now, to see if they're any closer to producing the American, electric Carver.
(spoiler: they aren't.)
It bugs the hell out of me that we don't get any of these neat trikes like the Carver or even the Cree SAM in the States. Instead, it's all uncovered reverse trikes that are completely impractical, like the T-Rex.

Here's a video on YouTube of a similar (non-taxi) Carver in Russia:

Also, an review from the Britain which mentions the price as being the same as a Lotus Elise in that country -- £27,624.
