Zero Motorcycles has just released another new
After engineering electric motorcycles for urban areas and off-road trails, we recognized the need to design a motorcycle with the motocross rider in mind. Aggressive track riding requires a motorcycle with a high power-to-weight ratio and an advanced suspension system. The Zero MX delivers both without the noise of a typical gas motorcycle. This makes riding possible in areas that are usually off-limits due to noise restrictions.

Ride Hard, Ride Local: The All-New Zero MX Gives Aggressive Riders a Silent and High-Performance Alternative for the Track
- Zero MX Brings Revolutionary Electric Motorcycle Technology to the Track -
SANTA CRUZ, Calif., June 9 -- Zero Motorcycles today announced the latest addition to its electric motorcycle fleet, the Zero MX. The Zero MX is made specifically for track riding and motocross. The fork, shocks, wheels and tires are new for the MX. The Zero MX is high-performance, lightweight, low-maintenance and silent. It opens up local track riding possibilities by eliminating the loud noise associated with a traditional gas dirt bike. It is available for purchase beginning today.
"After engineering electric motorcycles for urban areas and off-road trails, we recognized the need to design a motorcycle with the motocross rider in mind," said Neal Saiki, founder and CTO of Zero Motorcycles. "Aggressive track riding requires a motorcycle with a high power-to-weight ratio and an advanced suspension system. The Zero MX delivers both without the noise of a typical gas motorcycle. This makes riding possible in areas that are usually off-limits due to noise restrictions."
Designed for bigger jumps on the track, the Zero MX uses a new high-performance motorcycle suspension system. It includes a beefier front-end and a newly developed custom rear shock that gives riders a fully adjustable spring preload and easily tuned damping. The Zero MX has also been fitted with an aggressive 19" front wheel and tire package that will accommodate any motocross tire.
The Zero MX is available for purchase through Zero Motorcycles' website and priced at $8,250. For more information on the Zero MX visit: http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/mx.
Zero Motorcycles is the next step in motorcycle evolution and represents the ultimate electric motorcycle technology. Unencumbered by conventional thinking about how it designs, manufactures, and sells high-performance electric motorcycles, Zero Motorcycles is on a mission to turn heads and revolutionize the industry by combining the best aspects of a traditional motorcycle with today's most advanced technology. The result is an electric motorcycle line that's insanely fast and environmentally friendly.
Zero Motorcycles first entered the motorcycle category with the 2008 Zero X electric dirtbike. Exceeding all expectations, the Zero X sold out in late 2008 and blazed the path for the Zero S supermoto motorcycle.
