John McCain tweets plans for next automobile purchase: Ford Fusion hybrid

If you're a politician worth your own salt, you apparently have to buy a car that contains both a gasoline engine and an electric motor. Former Republican presidential candidate John McCain is finally getting on the bandwagon and picking up his own little slice of green heaven: he's announced on his Twitter page that he's buying a Ford Fusion hybrid.
McCain's decision to go Blue Oval for his hybrid choice is a publicity boon for the Ford Motor Company, as the Arizona Senator's 777,000 Twitter followers have no doubt taken note of the make and model of the war hero's new ride. With his new Brilliant Silver Clearcoat Metallic Fusion hybrid, McCain will be able to patrol the streets of Washington while achieving a best in class 41 mpg city. Guess we have an answer to this question.

But that's right up McCain's alley. He's for open borders, amnesty and he really believes this global warming tripe because....He's the senior senator from Arizona and damnit...he's a vet (who after being tortured..thinks water boarding is inhumane..)

I think you are partially correct. I think the entire 10 of the Bill of Rights are ignored. I think the 1st, 2nd, 5th, & 6th of the bill of rights have been trashed more than 9 & 10.

John McCain is not a neocon, and you don't know what a neocon is. He's a moderate Republican. Wolfowitz, Cheney, Perle, Kristol, Rumsfeld, etc. are neoconservatives, as members of The Project for the New American Century, the moving force behind the neocon movement...which failed and is now irrelevant.

I care very little for McCain and his politics, much of which I feel is misguided and wrong. I have no qualms attacking his political positions. Through I may dislike him and his views, I simply cannot assail or impugn his character.
After reading what he endured as a POW for his fellow Americans, I can’t think of any who insult him, quite often in disparaging and denigrating terms, that could undergo one tenth the of the extremely severe ordeal he suffered for our behalf. To those who do so, to me are selfish, uncaring ingrates who have hearts of stone and souls of ice.

I appreciate your loyalty, but John McSame did NOT walk into that prison and asked to be tortured. He was shot down and tortured against his will. Does he have a strong will? Absolutely. Is he a true patriot? Absolutely NOT!
A true patriot and hero would have the courage and strength of will to champion the currently unpopular position of Obeying and Honoring his OATH of office to DEFEND the Constitution... ALL OF IT!
A true patriot doesn’t just "follow orders" or the most recent polls he follows his conscience and honor’s is Oaths even if it costs him his political ambitions.

I don't see where ford gets off calling it "best in class"? Because they have a trunk & not a hatch? The 2010 prius is classed as a mid-size car just like the fusion and has 116 cubic feet vs the fusions 117.
Of course if he really wanted to drive in style and save gas he should buy a tesla. That's what I would do if I had a rich wife and lost the presidential election. John Kerry and Al Gore should also get themselves a tesla, maybe they are waiting for the model S.

ABC, CBS, NBC, HBO, and just about every TV & Radio Station including "Air America" and NPR and 98% of Newspapers.
The only exceptions are FOX (who only bases Republicans half the time) Talk Radio (except Air America) and the Wall Street Journal.
And STILL the "Progressives" want to kill the freedom of speech with by bringing back the "unFairness inDoctrine-ation".

LOL, no it doesn't. That vehicle belongs to the Secret Service. I think they should at least upgrade their entire fleet to the Yukon Hybrid.
Otherwise, nice choice by McCain, the Fusion Hybrid may be the best car build by Ford in a long time. Looks great, has great MPG and has a great driving experience, what could be better outside of a Fusion EV?
