MINI E recipient starts a blog about his electric adventure
Pasadena, California resident Mark Winkworth is one of the 450 individuals in Southern California and the New York/New Jersey areas that made it through the MINI E screening process. After having received the word that he had been accepted back in May, he'd been waiting (im)patiently until this past Friday. At that point he got the call from his local dealer that car #053 was ready for pickup. Mark quickly discovered the impressive acceleration that comes as a result of the torquey electric motor. Over the next 12 months, Mark will be documenting his experiences driving the British-German-American electric car at his new blog, MINIwink.com. So far there hasn't been much to report except that his neighbors are very interested in how the car performs. We, too, will be following the exploits of Mark and other MINI E drivers over the coming year.

I have said to fit a small gasoline electric generator to this battery car for unlimited range like any car since 1908 do. Im tired of these sick mind folks trying to downsize everything for 'good reasons' . If you move forward then the green car cost less and offer bigger performance then the graveyard car of today that constitute 100% of car sale of today not to mention ships, trains, trucks, motorcycles, lawn mower, jet skis, snowmobile, helicopters, airplanes, electric power stations.
I won't buy anything that cost more and/or offer less performance and/or range then the car it replace. In that case it's more costly and less range and probably less performance if you take account of the added dead weight. And remember that if you live in the north of usa or anywhere in canada then in winter you have even less range and less performance. This is a castastrophy. Engineers and actual car manufacturers are proposing nothing good and promising and are losing money everyday and tax are put higher everyday. So actual car manufacturers are just plain nobody proposing nothing. They are empty heads listening to commitees of all sort, while forgetting their paying consumers. AS i said stop any car expenditures to any actual car manufacturers like toyota, boeing, caterpillar, mercedes, buggatti, bridge and stratton, john deere, freightliner, ferrari, nascar, indy racing league, citroen, volkwagen, dacia, psa peugeot, ford, deloreen, tucker, chrysler, harley davidson, yamaha motorcycles, yamaha jet skis, yamaha atv's, yamaha motocross, yamaha gasoline electric generators, yamaha keyboards, yamaha guitars, yamaha corporate stocks, yamaha shirts, yamaha drums, honda cars, honda motor oils, honda trucks, honda motorcycles, honda scooters, honda generators, honda outboard watercrafts motors, honda inboard watercraft motors, honda snowblowers, honda lawnmowers, honda minitrails, honda motocross, honda motorcycles, etc.

It's me personnally that started this stike against the actual car manufacturers, consumers have almost completelly stopped car expenditures and toyota is in the red and will do like gm in 1 or 2 years. They actually collect taxmoney and this is a steal of money. It's me that speak and i have said to put just one green car for sale near where i live so im gonna take a look at it. As long as there is no green car for sale then gm, toyota, ford just have to say goodbye to their customers and go down the sink and fing other activities as jobs or business. Let the taxpayers out of this mess. Nobody have to buy something he or she don't want or don't like. If gm have to go this week then go this week, no taxmoney to this dinausor, they sell toxic gas, that's all.

Gorr - you'd better cover your eyes and ears next Tuesday - or risk suffering an apoplectic seizure.
EV fans should keep an eye on events around Capitol Hill Washington next Tuesday. It doesn't involve the Mini but it sure will raise the public profile of electric vehicles. Six of the biggest names in US commerce will each take delivery of a 7.5ton US-built all-electric truck in their own colors. And a whole bunch of company chiefs will be there to share the green glory and tell us how many each fleet has ordered.
