V-Vehicle Company video might reveal a few more details on upcoming high-mpg car

They're nothing more than brief flashes on a screen and there's no guarantee that they represent the mysterious new vehicle announced last week, but the teaser images in a promotional video about V-Venture Co. from Louisiana Economic Development could be previewing the company's upcoming high-mpg car. As you can see in the gallery below (assuming the images are of the company's car), the headlights are somewhat Th!nk-like and the dash is uncluttered. Of course, with the car still 18 or more months from production, everything we see here is likely to change. One more thing: the car now has a projected retail price of just $10,000. If nothing else, that tells up this car won't include a large li-ion battery back (unless, maybe, it's leased). You can watch the video here and get more information on VVC here.

This is not a preview of the car. It's an image representing the car industry in general. I worked on this video.

$10k? The Kia Rio is $12k. How is this possible? Or, are we talking about a low speed vehicle?
Thanks,
Matt

That was my thought too, when hearing the $10K price - are they planning a "Neighborhood CNG Vehicle"?
Or maybe they're trying for a sort of "Tata Nano" mini-car. I just hope it doesn't turn into the "All American Yugo"!

I'm speaking of the large black image above. This is not the car. However, the sketches of the dashboard and the photo of the headlight ARE real.

Why does it always look like Bobby Jindal is reading his lines? Obama does the same thing. Are they not capable of taking on their own?
I hope this is not the Th!nk. That's one ugly car!

Some people are good speakers, but not good at memorization. Others are good politicians, but that's about it. Unfortunately I think Bobby falls in the latter. I saw him give the opposition view after an Obama speech on C-span once and it was as if he was speaking to children. I almost couldn't watch; I was embarrased for him. My guess is he's great with smaller audiences to have made it this far.

In reply to Matt about Gov. Jindal .... The opposition speech that you saw was a very "off night" for the Gov., I'l admit to that. He usually has a very sharp, crisp mind and seems to be the really first smart, honest Gov. to come along for some time here in Louisiana.
I take issue with your remark about smaller audiences, a veiled attempt to make people in Louisiana out to be simpletons for electing such a person.
As an inventor, I've heard negative tones from similar people who really don't contribute much to the creative process, all they do is tear down. I usually keep those people at arms length as they are a real drag on moving technology and life forward.

My understanding, from what I've read elsewhere, is that this is neither a hybrid car nor an electric car, but a fuel-efficient "traditional" gasoline engine car.

I believe the V Vehicle Company will stimulate the economy in NE Louisiana, but for how long? I hope this is not a ploy by the Govenor and the investors (Davison, T Boone Pickens, et al) to take the Obama stimulus money and run. As for me, I'm trying to do something to help people be ready to apply for the production jobs that this company will create.
As far as fuel efficiency, I was expecting something truly spectacular like a vehicle that would run using water or air for fuel, not the same thing that has been done already. I'm afraid the vehicle's power will be compromised by the 10K price tag.
