Hot mods brings Quantya Strada up to Supermoto speed [w/VIDEO]

Though Quantya brought a Supermoto version of their electric motorcycle to the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) conference in Geneva last winter, we haven't seen or heard anything about it since. Until now. Seems the guys from Team Remotions, the extreme riding team that helps promote the Swiss-based bike company, got their hands on one and did a little riding on the narrow hairpin heavy Alpine roads for the video camera. The bike seems to be based on the road-going Strada but has had upgrades made to the motor, brakes and a few other components. The result is a more able bike, fully capable of hitting 111 Km/h (69 mph). Quite impressive considering the base Strada tops out at 70 Km/h (43.5 mph).

Although we don't know when the Supermoto package might be available in the U.S., we do know that their other product is finding its way into people's hands. They recently spent some quality time at Milestone MX with reigning motocross king James Stewart who, we're pretty sure, liked the Track even more than his Segway. Not only have the bikes been having fun; they've also been put to work. The California State Park rangers recently acquired four of the non-polluting machines to patrol with. Supermoto's video awaits you after the jump.
