The new Grand Bentley replacement for the Arnage will be making its world-wide debut in just a few weeks at the Pebble Beach Concours. Like every other upcoming model from the classic British luxury brand, it will be adopting technology to help reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. Automotive News is reporting that the Grand Bentley will be the first model from the brand to use cylinder deactivation to reduce the number of active cylinders under light load conditions. Currently, this fuel-saving concept is used in production vehicles by a number automakers – including General Motors, Chrysler, Daimler, and Honda. It is unknown if the new car will also have flex-fuel capability like the Continental SuperSports that debuted at Geneva.
