Spy Shots: Production Citroen C-Cactus images leaked online?
Judging by a few grainy leaked images from Auto Express of what appears to be a production-ready version of the Citroen C-Cactus concept from the Frankfurt Motor Show in the fall of 2007, the French automaker has taken out some of the quirkiness that made the original vehicle so memorable... and added a whole new bunch of new and strange styling cues to pick up the slack. This new model is rumored to be planned for sale in 2012 and will be the first model under Citroen's new Essentiele eco-friendly moniker. It's thought that the production C-Cactus will carry on with the concept's bare necessities approach, eschewing unnecessary bits – simplifying construction and lowering costs in the process.
Rumors contend that the upcoming Citroen will feature a three-cylinder diesel powerplant mated up with some unknown low-cost hybrid system. We'll see soon enough.

Leave it to Citroën to stay cutting edge. 2012 is pretty far off, but I at least hope they keep some of the features we have seen in the images we have been shown of the car.
Thanks,
Denis

If those are actual pics of the production version of such a fun and great looking concept car then it begs the question of "how many buckets of ugly did it take them to mess it up like that?".
