Got 4 or more cars in the driveway? WA$TED wants you!

Makeover shows have become a staple of "reality" television in the last several years. After all, who wouldn't want someone to come in and give them an all-new wardrobe, a pimped-out car or a refurbished house. One of the more recent shows is Wa$ted on Planet Green. The show is targeted at helping people "green up" their lives by reducing waste.
The producers of Wa$ted dropped us a note to let us know that they are looking for families with four or more cars and drivers. The goal is to help people reduce their carbon footprint. Presumably, the show is looking for a family open to getting rid of some of their cars and changing their transportation patterns. If you get picked for the show, you get a cash reward at the end (and please let us know if you do). If you're interested, send a note to the address after the jump.

FROM WA$TED:
We are currently casting for an eco-makeover series on Planet Green called "Wasted" and we are looking for families with four or more cars and drivers. The eco-makeover involves lifestyle tips, cool gadgets and products, superficial changes to the home and behavioral changes for your household. The goal is to help people reduce their carbon footprint and there is a cash reward at the end of the show. We are mainly looking for candidates in the tri-state area. Is there any way we can pass this information along or create a post for your readers?
Thank you,
Kelly Harper

My thoughts exactly.
A lot of the Hollywood hypocrites should get a visit as well. They squawk about being green meanwhile live in mega mansions, own fleets of cars, and fly private planes.

By Al, do you mean the guy with a huge electric bill that flies all over the place and has a private boat but, because he pays more for all his energy and transportation, thinks it is green.
Seems to me like he is the typical eniromentalist, willing to spend more to get "green" products but, totally unwilling to change their lifestyle while telling others that they should change their lifestyle.

"Al" is not telling people to change their lifestyles. He's telling people that we can improve our planet with only minimal consequences to our way of life.
Now, some *other* environmentalists take the more radical position that we all need to dramatically cut back on our material consumption. But you can't hold Gore to standards he doesn't believe in.

You mean the guy that's green because he pays carbon credit to himself?

@GLOCK:
Make a list of the celebrities you think are wasteful...make a list of the ones who have private jets and go around with 4 cars (Hummers and Escalades, etc), etc... An no...I don't mean rappers and gangsters.
I'd like to see what you come up with. I just want to compare what they drive with what other people drive on a daily basis.

I have 4 motorcycles and 1 car, and no "reality show" will make me part with any of them!

If Wa$ste REALLY wanted to "green up" by reducing carbon emissions, they would STOP flying their huge staff all over the country on these PROGRAMMING junkets.
What Wa$ste REALLY wants is to sell ADVERTISING and make money. If they have to be hypocritical... so be it. Yep, just like Al Gore & President Obamanation, Gore's lord & savior.

I also encourage you all to turn off our computers rather than wasting electricity to read ABG and getting information on fuel-efficient vehicles.

Who says they fly?

It would useful to anyone wanting to turn someone in if we knew exactly what "tri-state" area is being referred to here. There area a few "tri-state" areas in the country that refer to themselves that way.
Anyone know?

Why does more cars have to equal more emissions? Wouldn't it be a good thing to own a 2nd fuel efficient car if your first was a working truck? Sure it would be most efficient to ditch the truck, but not everybody can do that.
Personally I have 2 cars, an original Insight that I daily drive and a CRX that isn't running that I'd like to eventually convert to electric...
