Buy a Bad Boy Buggie, kill save big bucks
Bad Boy Buggies markets its tough all-terrain vehicles using the slogan "They'll Never Hear You Coming" to hunters who generally are of a mind to slay whatever bucks they can track down. Well, now they can save them too. No, not the four-legged woodland creatures with the white fur on the underside of their tails which are quite tasty. Rather the paper-with-pictures-of-past-presidents-kind. Lots of them.
The cash comes in the form of a $5,590 tax-credit and applies to versions of their vehicles outfitted with all the lights, seatbelts and other safety equipment required to make the buggies street legal. While the low speed vehicle (LSV) package does tack close a grand onto the pricetag, the resulting savings at tax time and the added ability to take your Bad Boy to the streets makes this option something of a no-brainer. Especially if you happen to live in Oklahoma, where they have also just been approved for that state's incredible 50 percent-of-purchase-price tax credit. In fact, if you're in the market for this kind of machine, the only reason we can think of not to track down a dealer now is they just might have even more amazing models next year. This is such garbage that something stupid like this or any NEV for that matter gets almost $6000 in tax credit while the Jetta TDI which would be far more useful to a greater segment of the population and over its lifetime will save thousands more barrels of oil than these things ever will only gets $1300. And the Prius gets $0. Sure when some manufacterer starts making real electric cars that normal people can use lets give them some tax credits, but I am sick and tired of hearing about these stupid glorified golf carts getting thousands of dollars in tax credits when real solutions to lowering our dependence on oil get next to nothing. Its insane. Do golf courses get $6000 back on every electric golf cart they buy too? WTF!

I also wish there were highway EVs (besides Tesla) that could get this tax credit.
In the mean time, this tax credit will help Bad Boy Buggies replace old gas-powered pick-up trucks and all terrain vehicles (and utility vehicles, i.e. Polaris Ranger or Yamaha Rhino) which typically have very high emissions. Those same vehicles used off-road create grass fires thanks to hot tail-pipes, and they disturb residents, livestock, and wildlife with loud engine noise. The Bad Boy solves all those problems.

Don't want to pay federal income taxes?
Remember, there is a tax credit (dollar for dollar) for each electric "car" you buy and there is no limit to how many electric cars you can buy.
Step 1) Calculate your federal tax liability
Step 2) Buy enough qualifying NEVs to absorb that liability.
Step 3) Sell those cars for quick, laundered & tax free cash.
Step 4) Soak the "rich" employers or debase the currency to cover the federal debt then blame those evil conservatives when the jobs vanish and food is unaffordable.
(Progressives are NOT rocket scientists)

Except...
* The vehicles value will take a 20% hit for not being new, and...
* The market value of the used vehicles will have the tax credit subtracted from it.
So your scheme is unlikely to make any money.
I agree that many of the tax credits don't make a lot of sense, or produce perverse incentives.

Tim nice job at politicizing a car thread......and good luck with that scheme, it's unlikely you'll make a single $ by trying to resell these vehicles.
For the record:
There's nothing worse than a 'conservative' for the economy. Not only did you oil war-mongering cretins cause the near collapse of the U.S. economy, but the economy has historically ALWAYS done better under a Democrat.

Even if you buy one or more "golf cart" NEVs for $6,500/ea with 100% tax credits until your tax liability is GONE and then sell them for quick cash at $4,500/ea, that $4,500 is FREE MONEY TO YOU.
Of course, your friends, neighbors and extended family will have to pay HIGHER taxes to make up for the tax deficits of Progressive Redistribution but who cares when it's all about YOU.
European VAT Tax is next. Then comes the tax revolt.

Atlas - I think you mean their is nothing BETTER for this country then a conservative.
And if you think Bush was/is a conservative then you are dead wrong.
Our founding fathers were conservative.
As for oil, the US runs on it, BUT hopefully that will gradually change over the next decade.
While I do think a part of the Iraq war was to keep their oil pumps keep on a pumpin'. Part of it was simply to kill the horrible dictator Saddam, and the other part of it was to free the Iraqi people from tyranny.
As for your part about Democrats & the economy, BS.
The only Democrat US President that did good for the economy was Clinton.
FYI, I'm a conservative. I consider myself a republican leaning independent.
Oh...and so I dont derail this thread completely, this vehicles looks...ok.
But I would prefer a Rhino or a Ranger over this anyday.
