Lance Armstrong's Nissan Leaf is a dazzling black and gold delight *UPDATE

We've said it before, but we'll say it again. Celebs always get the good stuff. Don't they? Well, if your name happens to be Lance Armstrong, you know, the seven-time Tour de France champion, then the good stuff refers to getting your hands on the first production Nissan Leaf in the land. Yep, as expected, Lance landed his Leaf and no, it's not that Aqua Globe blue color that we've all seen a couple hundred times.

Lance's Leaf is dazzling black with wheels striped in gold. The color combo works, transforming the Leaf from a bubbly-shaped blue electric vehicle that screams out, "hey, I'm a zero-emissions car" to, dare we say, a sporty compact primed to take on the gas-powered competition. Okay, maybe the transformation isn't that dramatic, but aside from the "100% electric" labeling and the "zero emission" graphic, Lance's Leaf looks like any other modern vehicle that you might stumble across on our roads.

Congrats to Nissan for delivering on its promise and we're certain that this "zero-emissions" dream machine has landed with a deserving owner. Let's hope Lance will shoot up some more pics and share his experience with the rest of us. Hat tip to Chris!
