Subaru is set to officially reveal the 2012 Impreza at the New York Auto Show towards the end of April. Ahead of its debut, the automaker has released a single profile shot of the four-door version of the soon-to-be released Impreza.
Subaru's extremely brief press blurb doesn't reveal much in the way of specific details on the upcoming Impreza, but it does say that the vehicle "will deliver 36 miles per gallon highway, the highest fuel economy [manufacturer's estimate] of any all-wheel drive car on sale in the United States." To put that estimate into perspective, the current 2011 Impreza, when fitted with a 2.5-liter engine and five-speed manual transmission, is officially rated at 27 mpg highway.
We're told that both the four-door and five-door versions of the 2012 Impreza will take to the stage at the 2011 NYIAS and you can bet that we'll be on the scene in New York to capture live shots of the unveilings.
