General Motors is reportedly working on the second-generation EN-V electric and aims to offer a mass-produced version by 2020, according to Autocar. Modifications to be made to the second-gen EN-V include enlargement of the vehicle's pod-like exterior structure and more interior space. Additionally, Autocar says a four-wheeled EN-V is in the works.
If Autocar's report contains a grain of truth, then GM is expected to launch the production EN-V in major cities in China, South Africa and possibly even here in the United States by 2020 at a price of approximately $10,000. Autocar says that positive global reaction to the EN-V concepts convinced GM to give the electric pod the production green light. Thoughts? Would the EN-V be a hit in the States?
