EPIC EV TORQ

Perhaps the base price for the Epic Torq Roadster EV is a bit high. The eye-catching electric vehicle officially starts at $65,000, but a recent example was listed on eBay for the low, low price of $57,985. The car, located in Laguna Niguel, CA, has a clear title and just 108 miles on it. It also has a red/black exterior/interior color scheme, giving it a Chicago Bulls-type color motif and making the car look a little like a large, very fast and very quiet version of a Nike Air Jordan high-top sneaker. It didn't sell. Perhaps Michael Jordan just missed the auction.

Epic founder Chris Anthony first started working on three-wheeled EVs with his dearly-departed Aptera Motors and started making Torq prototypes in 2010. When the Torq EV production version launched, it was announced it could go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about four seconds. In April, Epic delivered its first sale of a Torq Roadster to David Vespremi, former director of communications for Tesla Motors.
