Auto Zeitung readers vote Volkswagen greenest and most economical

In a survey of readers conducted by the German magazine Auto Zeitung, Volkswagen came out on top in two categories. Based on initiatives like their BlueMotion series and their direct injected TSI engines, readers selected VW in the economic efficiency and environmental friendliness divisions. Respondents felt that Volkswagen vehicles had the lowest operating costs. By next year, Volkswagen will have nine BlueMotion models.
