Spain announces electric vehicle rebates of up to €7,000 per car

Spain's Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastián, has announced that Spain will subsidize purchases of electric vehicles up to 15 to 20 percent of its cost. For standard electric cars, Spaniards can get up to €7,000 back; for vehicles such as motorbikes, buses or trucks, the aid ranges between €750 and €20,000. The program is funded with up to 8 million euros and is called Movele (Plan de Movilidad Eléctrica - Electric Mobility plan).
