Chinese academy develops big electric motors - 50,000 electric cars might come soon

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) announced today that a Chinese company has developed new electric vehicle motors following more than a decade's worth of research. The motors will be used mostly in buses, because "Electric cars have more demanding motor requirements," said Wen Xuhui, top researcher of the electric vehicle project of CAS' Institute of Electrical Engineering.
