Hydrogen cars + math. Worth the trouble?

I'm starting to think that the "hydrogen advocate" Greg Blencoe (always an AutoblogGreen fave) might be working against the hydrogen industry. In a new post on his Hydrogen Car Revolution blog, he responds to five energy efficiency arguments against hydrogen fuel cell cars. The problem? His rebuttals are not convincing (sorry, Greg). One of his points is a real head scratcher: "Regarding renewable energy, there is far more high-quality wind and solar power available than could ever be used. Therefore, why is it so important to use this ... Read more →

STUDY: Hummer owners believe they've made "a highly moral consumption choice"

There probably isn't any one passenger vehicle on earth that earns more ire from environmentalists than the Hummer H2. While the reality of the matter is that most Hummers aren't really much worse ...

Joe Romm has long battled with vocal hydrogen vehicle proponent Gerg Blencoe on the value of H2 vehicles. They've made bets, given suggestions, and just plain disagreed about everything when it comes to hydrogen vs. plug-in electric vehicles. I doubt Romm's latest missive is going to change the ...

Vancouver 2009: fuel cell forklift looks pretty happy 6 months ago on Autoblog Green

There's something kind of lighthearted about a giant, lightweight green quote bubble being held aloft by a little blue fork lift. Of course, the Ballard fuel cell forklift wasn't on display here at the Hydrogen + Fuel Cells 2009 in Vancouver purely to amuse. Nope, forklifts are sort of the ...
