Lotus announces Elise Club Racer, 31 mpg sports car

One of the upsides of Colin Chapman's philosophy of "adding lightness" is that Lotus sports cars are typically very efficient relative to their performance levels. Such is the case with the Elise, which is one of the lightest cars on the market today. At the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, Lotus will release a new Club Racer special edition of the Elise.
