Biodiesel making big impression in ethanol-crazy Minnesota

Minnesota has more ethanol outlets than any other state, and officials there are eager to help consumers convert their vehicles to flex-fuel. But biodiesel is also a growing industry in that state. The first plant opened in 2004, and with the help of government mandates and incentives, there are now five biodiesel production facilities that pumped out 75 million gallons last year.
