Frankfurt Prev - no, wait - LA Auto Show preview

I get the feeling that the Los Angeles Auto Show organizers want to deflect a bit of attention that the Frankfurt IAA is getting. The IAA should be in the news these days, as it's just two weeks away. The LA show doesn't kick off until mid-November, but that didn't stop the promotion company from sending out a press release for the fall event, sort of a "hey, don't forget about us" memo.
