Mahindra Scorpio may offer diesel-electric hybrid when sold in U.S.

Officials from Mahindra & Mahindra, an Indian auto manufacturer, will wait until next April before announcing details on the Scorpio SUV and pickup the company will export to the U.S. However, observers say a diesel-electric hybrid version of the Scorpio will be offered along with gas models. M&M will sell the trucks through Global Vehicles, which could have 200 dealers lined up by the time the vehicles hit U.S. ports.
