Zap!, ABAT sign battery distrubution deal for new electric vehicles, will start with scooters

Since 2007, Zap and ABAT (Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc.) have been working together in China on advanced batteries for electric vehicles like the Xebra. This week, ABAT's wholly owned subsidiary Wuxi Zhongqiang Autocycle Co., Ltd., announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Zap to use those batteries. Zap says the packs could be used in Zap's current line-up of vehicles as well as it's new pickup and the ever-forthcoming Alias.
