Shanghai 2009: Chery Riich M1 EV and Tiggo 3 EV

Chinese automaker Chery has two electric vehicle concepts on display at this year's Shanghai Motor Show. The first one is called the Riich M1 EV, and it uses a 336V lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The vehicle itself appears to be pretty tiny, which should allow it to provide pretty decent range and performance from its 40kW electric motor. Chery claims that a full charge of the M1's battery will take 4-6 hours using a 220V plug, but a fast charger is reportedly in the works that would provide an 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes. ...
