DaimlerChrysler expanding their plug-in hybrid program

DaimlerChrysler announced they are expanding their plug-in hybrid development program and building new vehicles based on the redesigned 2007 Dodge Sprinter van. There are already four of the original versions built on the previous Sprinter platform in customer service and twenty new vehicles will be built and distributed to fleets over the next twelve months. DaimlerChrysler is testing several different configurations that will allow them to evaluate the cost, performance and reliability and determine the best direction to take for production. ...
