Fiat readying new small engine plant in Poland

Fiat's Tichy plant. Small cars need small engines, and Fiat is preparing both. To provide propulsion for its new Topolino microcar, coming in late 2009, Fiat has announced it will expand its plant in Bielsko Biala, Poland to make its new 900cc two-cylinder engine. The 900cc engine was shown in the Aria concept at the last Frankfurt Motor Show and will be the only two-cylinder car in all of Europe.
