According to data just released by Ford, it is sometimes possible to pigeonhole certain areas of the country with specific colors and engine combinations. We could hazard a few guesses as to why hybrids sell like hotcakes in San Francisco, Seattle, LA, Washington and Boston, but we'll leave those conclusions to you.
