Madison WI gets five new Two-Mode hybrid buses

The city of Madison WI has taken delivery of five new transit buses with the GM-Allison Two-Mode hybrid system. Three of the buses will be running on regular city routes while the other two will be used on routes around the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus in the central part of the city. There are now 815 of the GM hybrid equipped buses operating in 71 cities with another 379 units to be delivered before the end of the year. The press release is after the jump.
