Freightliner launches hybrid motorhome chassis

At the National RV trade show, Freightliner Custom Chassis is introducing what is claimed to be the first hybrid electric Class A motorhome chassis. The ecoFRED (not a typo) chassis is equipped with Eaton's heavy duty hybrid electric system. Prototype motorhomes with the new chassis built by Fleetwood and Winnebago are on display at the show.
