Ethanol and the American LeMans Series

In 2006, the American LeMans Series saw a dominating performance in their top LMP1 class from the diesel powered Audi R10s. For 2007 they have announced a partnership with the Ethanol Promotion and Information Council (EPIC), to use ethanol blended fuels in their gasoline powered racers. Unlike the IndyCars that started using an ethanol blend last year, and straight E100 for 2007, ALMS cars will be running on E10 (ten percent ethanol/ninety percent gasoline) for 2007.
