EU to make purchase of green cars "mandatory"

The EU has just announced that from 2010 onwards, all government agencies should purchase only "green cars." Exactly what the EU considers to be a "green car" for this purposes has yet to be determined, but upcoming legislation should clear the definition for the 27 country members and will include similar rules for all companies working in the public segment.
