Twelve states getting diesel-electric hybrid school buses

Schools, as we mentioned recently, are under pressure to reduce the amount of diesel emissions from idling school buses. In what will hopefully be the first of many such deliveries, schools in twelve states will soon get buses powered by a diesel-electric hybrid system with plug-in capability. The State, based in South Carolina, reports that SC will get two of the 19 buses next spring.
